Climbing Boot Repairs and Resoles
Recommended Repairers
LSR use only the best quality rubber on our rock boot and climbing shoe repairs. We are one of only a handful of rock boot repairers recommended by Bigstone, Scarpa and La Sportiva.
Original Sticky Rubber
LSR offer you a choice of three different types of sticky rubber to choose from for your rock boot repair. Because of our relationship with rock boot manufacturers we are able to purchase their original sticky rubber.
The Process
Your rock boots are first fitted to a manufacturer's last which enables us to keep the shape almost the same as when the boots were new (your feet and climbing do make the boots change shape). We then scour off the old sole, clean and prepare the rand and new sole, then attach them using the same machinery as the original manufacturer before finishing them by hand - ensuring a superb quality, craftsman finished repair. Although we do try to retain the original shape there are too many different manufacturers lasts for us to be able to obtain so this is not always possible.
Toe Patches
In our experience rock boots that require re-soling also require toe patches. Even if the rand is not yet punctured it will be worn very thin. Toe patches can only be fitted as part of the resoling repair procedure. During the fitting of the toe patch it is not possible to replicate the original toe shape of the shoe.
